Happy Easter!

Still on hiatus for now, but I am plotting on making some weekly posts soon. So don't give this space up for dead just yet. I've been very busy with work lately getting acquainted with multiple airports and learning I don't like flying on anything smaller than a DC-9. And I've yet to find a single serving friend that has skydived, but I'll keep asking. My cousin Patsy was an avid skydiver when she lived in Arizona, but I always thought she was a little strange. I want to find someone that seems completely normal that has jumped out of an airplane for fun (which rules out the military types). The gist of it is that I've been very busy. There's also my New Year's resolution to myself to lose 47 pounds off my frame. As of last Thursday I had lost 21 although I've gotten readings on other scales that say I've lost more. I know - stick to the same scale so the official word is 21. I've gone done a waistsize, which is fairly embarrasing when you have to take your belt off going through airport security. And why isn't security the same nationwide or even from day to day? I go through Nashville one week and I didn't have to take off my shoes, belt, and watch and then the next time I do. I have noticed that the smaller the airport the heavier security is: as if Des Moines is some terrorist hotbed or something. I do want to be safe so I don't sweat it too much - my beef is with the consistency of the system.

Music wise I'm in a heavy throwback place these days: Black Sabbath, Slayer, and Stormtroopers Of Death are in my player all the time. It provides good motivation music for my workouts and pumps me up for my bike rides I take 3 to 4 times a week. But it's not just nostalgia working on me: Slayer and Black Sabbath especially seem more timely than ever.

Happy Easter!!
